Kan received her B.S. and M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology in 2017 and 2019, respectively. Then she joined Prof. Jian Cao's and Prof. Kornel Ehmann's Advanced Manufacturing Processing Laboratory as a Ph.D. student at Northwestern University in 2020. From September 2021, she joined Prof. Jiaxing Huang's group as a visiting student. Her current research includes the characterization and processing of coal gangue.
