We employ chemical principles and tools to advance materials processing and manufacturing. We also leverage our materials discoveries to learn, address and define problems in other areas of science and engineering or in the society, aiming for transformative and enduring impacts, and by doing so, promoting the intellectual growth of our trainees and ourselves. Below are some recent research interests:
• |
Materials concepts for personal care and public health |
• |
Additive-free solution processing of carbon nanotubes |
• |
Chemistry and processing of graphene oxide based materials |
• |
Physical functions of information-bearing surfaces |
• |
Spatial and temporal modulation of material structures and properties: From continuum to discontinuum |
